Kootenay national park

Kootenay National Park is located in Southeast British Columbia, Canada. The northeast entrance is located at Castle Junction in Banff, making this park easily accessible from other popular destinations. Often overlooked compared to its neighboring parks, Kootenay is a much quieter landscape. This was a nice change of pace after days of being on the go from sun-up to sun-down. With one main road that runs through the park, it was easy to discover sites as we journeyed through. We were astonished with all the contrasting landscapes we stumbled upon.

Below are some highlights of our favorite stops and recommended hikes throughout the area.
